User data is used for translation, account access, subscription entitlement, and usage limits.

Data accessed

Xin Da Ya accesses visible text on pages where the user starts translation, including visible email/message/DM/chat/social post/reply/comment text, YouTube caption text, video ID, page URL, target language, caption metadata, transcript cue, Google login identity, invite state, subscription entitlement, billing state, usage state, local settings, hover position, and local cache.

Data sent to the backend

Text selected for translation and YouTube cues are sent to the 신·달·야 backend. The backend uses the DeepSeek V4 Flash-only route for translation. If translation is started on a communication surface, visible personal communication text can be processed by the same backend translation workflow.

YouTube videos without captions use the backend transcript workflow. If server-side timedtext or media access fails, a user-started subtitle mode can upload an active YouTube tab audio chunk to backend STT. This path is only for subtitle cue generation and is not a general recording feature.

Data stored

The backend stores account, invite, subscription, payment identifier, usage ledger, job trace, and service health metadata. Raw page text and raw audio are not default storage targets; operating logs focus on trace, cost, status, and error metadata rather than full text.

Payments

Payments are processed through hosted card checkout or crypto checkout flow. Xin Da Ya does not store raw card data; it stores billing identifier and subscription state to confirm entitlement.

Local storage

The extension stores target language, subtitle language, per-tab state, hover position, and local translation cache in Chrome extension storage. Users can clear local translation cache from the options page.

No sale or advertising use

신·달·야 (Xin Da Ya) does not sell user data and does not use user data for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Account, invite, subscription, billing state, and usage records are retained for paid service operation, abuse prevention, billing reconciliation, and support obligations. Account and billing-data support requests are handled through Support.

Support

Do not share sensitive conversation content, payment secrets, browser cookies, or private screenshots in support requests. If needed, Xin Da Ya checks only redacted diagnostic information.
