Core

One account flow. No provider setup.

Users do not enter provider API keys. The 신·달·야 backend operates the DeepSeek V4 Flash route, usage metering, billing entitlement, and ASR workflow behind a simple Chrome translation experience.

1

Google login

Account identity uses Google login. The extension checks Xin Da Ya account state separately from the Chrome profile.

2

Invite activation

Invite codes can be used only after their activation time and are bound to the signed-in account.

3

Translation runtime

Page text, YouTube cues, and no-caption STT results are translated by the backend and rendered by the extension overlay.

Service routing

DeepSeek V4 Flash is the only public translation provider.

Provider secrets are held only by the backend service. Public users get the same DeepSeek V4 Flash route, quota rules, and subscription entitlement checks without model selection.

Area Release behavior Status
Translation DeepSeek V4 Flash only Backend contract in progress
Account Google login and extension token Planned for 1.0
Entitlement Invite activation plus active monthly subscription Planned for 1.0
Limits 5-hour window and weekly usage limit Backend contract in progress

YouTube / Transcript

YouTube subtitles start with caption tracks, then use backend STT when needed.

Caption track first

When YouTube provides a timedtext caption track, Xin Da Ya translates those cues and displays them in its own video overlay.

No-caption fallback

Videos without captions use the backend transcript workflow. If server-side access fails, a user-started active YouTube tab audio chunk can be sent to backend STT to create subtitle cues.

  5. After public approval, this section will point to the Chrome Web Store install link.

Privacy posture

Translation text, usage state, and billing state are handled by the backend.

Backend translation

Page text and YouTube cues selected for translation are sent to the 신·달·야 backend and processed through the DeepSeek V4 Flash route.

Usage metering

The 5-hour window and weekly limit are enforced by the server ledger and displayed in the extension.

Local cache

Translation cache used to reduce duplicate requests is stored in Chrome extension storage and can be cleared from options.
